October is Contact Lens Safety Month at Prevent Blindness. Dr Thomas Steinemann, long-time Prevent Blindness volunteer and AAO spokesperson was featured in the Focus on Eye Health Expert Video Series.

Oliver and Carroll Dabezies Endowed Chair at Tulane University

ECLA is pleased to report the announcement of the new Oliver and Carroll Dabezies Endowed Chair at Tulane University. Oliver H. Dabezies, Jr., MD (1930-2001) was a co-founder of CLAO, now ECLA, and was organizer of its first scientific program in 1964. He served as CLAO's executive vice president for 11 years and was the Editor in Chief of "Contact Lenses: The CLAO Guide to Basic Science and Clinical Practice." Read more
